We were designed to move.
The human body is a complex system comprised of various levers, pulleys, and tensegrity structures. While our muscles, bones, and joints constitute our structural framework, it is the intimate connections created between these elements that allow us to express movement in a coordinated fashion.
The chicken or the egg?
When injury or breakdown occur, this creates aberrations within our movement system that need to be retrained and re-established. By the same token, when dysfunction is present, either in the form of strength, mobility, stability, or coordinative inefficiencies, this opens the door for injury and breakdown. If you are only addressing the symptoms - you are missing the underlying dysfunctions that may have caused, or developed as a result of, your injury.
Efficient movement drives optimal function.

Meet Dr. Bijaan Lalani
Dr. Bijaan Lalani studied Kinesiology at the University of Alberta prior to completing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. He is an evidence-based chiropractor, acupuncture provider, and strength and conditioning specialist with a passion for managing sports injuries and helping patients get back to doing what they love.
"I would have to start off by saying I recommend Dr. Lalani 10 out of 10 stars.
He has changed my whole perspective on recovery and rehabilitation. I have always competed at a high level in sports and experienced muscle stiffness, joint pain, and overall tightness. Since working with Dr. Lalani, I have seen a increase in my mobility, flexibility and range of motion. My lower back pain and muscle stiffness have definitely been reduced significantly since my treatments. If you're in pain or an athlete that needs a tune up, don't hesitate to book in with Dr. Lalani as soon as you possibly can!"
